Common Brother Printer Questions

Answers to the most common problems Brother users face during setup.

Visit support.brother.com, select your country/original, enter your model name, and download the "Full Driver & Software Package". This includes all components needed for printing and scanning.

On the printer control panel, go to Menu → Network → WLAN → Setup Wizard. Select your SSID and enter your password. For non-display models, hold the Wi-Fi button until the light flashes, then press the WPS button on your router.

Go to Printers & Scanners on your computer. Right-click your Brother printer, click "See what's printing", then click the Printer menu and uncheck "Use Printer Offline". Also, ensure the printer's Wi-Fi light is solid.

Brother iPrint&Scan is a free app available for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android that allows you to print and scan from your mobile device or computer without traditional drivers. It's recommended for a simple wireless experience.

The model number (e.g., MFC-L2710DW) is usually on a label on the top or front of the printer. You can also see it by pressing Menu and scrolling to "Machine Info" on the printer's display.
